Dance into Celebration Experience the infectious joy and vibrant rhythms of Garba, the beloved folk dance from Gujarat! Performed during the festive season of Navaratri, Garba is a communal celebration characterized by circular movements, rhythmic clapping, and lively footwork.

In this first half of the semester, Swapnil will guide you through the foundations of this exhilarating style:

  • Basics & Footwork: Master the fundamental do-taali and teen-taali step patterns.

  • Group Formations: Learn how to move in the traditional circles that give Garba its powerful collective energy.

  • Rhythm & Festive Spirit: Connect with the driving beats of the dhol while discovering the joyful essence of Gujarati culture.

Course Details:

  • Dates: 11 February – 1 April (8 Sessions)

  • Time: Wednesdays, 18:30 – 19:30

  • Location: Studio Aakash, Shoonya Dance Centre

  • Investment: €92 for the full series
